Medical Coding Training
Medical coding is the translation of medical reports into shortcodes used within the healthcare industry. It simplifies otherwise complex medical reports into efficient and data-friendly codes. With the growing healthcare infrastructure, there is an increase in the need for Medical Coders today.
Certification Exam
- The AAPC Coding exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions.
- The exam duration is 4 hours and there are no breaks during this time.
- Participants are required to sit continuously for four hours, reading the questions and finding the appropriate codes
- The exam can be taken in person at a testing center
- Approved code books
- AMA's CPT Professional Edition (current year)
- ICD-10-CM (current year), any publisher
- HCPCS Level II (current year), any publisher
